Singapore Airlines new Perth lounge

Singapore Airlines is set to unveil its new lounge at Perth Airport’s T1 International Terminal in March, aligning with the introduction of its fourth daily Perth-Singapore flight on March 31. This development is poised to be a highly anticipated enhancement for business class passengers and frequent flyers, including KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold Card holders.

Situated in the former Qantas International Business Lounge, which is now closed, the new lounge is strategically positioned opposite Gate 52. It is in close proximity to the existing Singapore Airlines Perth lounge, located across Gate 54, and neighboring the Air New Zealand Lounge—akin to the layout in Sydney.

This expansion is not just a physical upgrade; it signifies a positive shift in the travel experience for passengers. According to Lewis Arul, Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific, “The creation of a brand new lounge in Perth will deliver an improved travel experience and reinforce our commitment to the Perth market.”

To minimize disruption during the development phase, Singapore Airlines opted for a new space to construct the lounge. Once the construction is completed, a seamless transition to the new space is anticipated, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience for customers.

So what can travelers expect?

Experience enhanced comfort at the upcoming Singapore Airlines SilverCris Perth lounge, boasting over double the space compared to SQ’s current confines and accommodating around 140 passengers.

This spacious haven aligns with Singapore Airlines’ contemporary ‘home away from home’ concept, a design approach also featured in the recently updated SilverCris lounge at Changi Airport T3.

Indulge in pre-flight relaxation with an abundance of comfortable seating options at the upcoming Singapore Airlines SilverCris Perth lounge. Additionally, discover semi-private ‘productivity pod’ booths, perfect for organizing last-minute emails or refining travel details.

The lounge’s open and spacious design ensures easy navigation, accommodating passengers flying with Singapore Airlines and other Star Alliance members. Notably, the reopening of South African Airways’ Perth-Johannesburg service on April 28 adds to the lounge’s accessibility.

Retaining the shower suites from the previous Qantas lounge, Singapore Airlines ensures a continued focus on passenger amenities.

Enhancing the culinary experience, the lounge boasts an upscale restaurant featuring a generously-sized self-service buffet area and bar. Guests can enjoy dining at a table adorned with an array of fine cheeses. Additionally, a ‘live’ cooking station provides freshly prepared dishes during breakfast and throughout the day.
